The battle cruiser HMS Lion. She was the lead ship of the Lion Class battle cruisers, and was built in 1910 and commissioned in 1912. She fought at a few major engagements in World War 1, the Battle of Heligoland Bight, the Raid on Scarborough, Battle Of Dogger Bank and Battle Of Jutland where she would have been sunk had her Q Turret not have been flooded. After Jutland she had a relatively quiet remainder of the war, and was placed in reserve in 1920 and struck off in 1922. She was sold for scrap in 1924.
